Lukewarm people do whatever is necessary to stop them from feeling too guilty. They want to do the bare minimum, to be “good enough” without it requiring too much of them
They ask, “How far can I go before it’s considered a sin?” instead of “How can keep myself pure as a temple of the Holy Spirit?”
They ask, “How much do I have to give?” instead of “How much can I give?”
They ask, “How much time should I spend praying and reading my Bible?” instead of “I wish I didn’t have to go to work, so i could sit here and read longer!”
1 Chron 29:14
“But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
